How Gut Health May Contribute to this Silent Inflammatory Reaction

As someone who suffers from many gut reactions to foods, stress, and medications, I’m always on the hunt for what can cause our gut to react in particular ways.

Whilst we don’t always have control over everything, being aware of the culprit is a step toward healing your gut.

Histamine intolerance is when you develop too much histamine, which triggers a lot of uncomfortable side effects, such as:

One thing to note is that bacteria overgrowth in the gut from food that isn’t appropriately digested can cause histamine overproduction.

So can leaky gut and inflammatory bowel disease.

The hormone DOA is responsible for breaking down histamine.

We eat culprit foods every day, building up symptoms that would not automatically classify as histamine intolerance.
