Petrichor

The fragrance of joy emanated when rain droplets meet earth is my favorite.

This fragrance somehow makes me feel alive. I don’t feel like an outsider anymore! These moments seem more real than others.

While I sit here, writing, and having my all-time favorite ginger tea…the drizzle outside my window has turned into a downpour.

Come to think of it, just like these drops; I am also going with the flow…moving wherever the wind takes me.

Maybe, I will be one of those unlucky droplets that hit against an obstacle and cannot be a part of something greater. Or, maybe I end up contributing as a valuable droplet in an ocean.

Whatever happens, this moment makes me look up and smile!

The world seems to have held me captive, but the rain is here to break those shackles.

At this moment, I am not a misfit. I belong here.
