The Fake.

What are your goals right now? Stupid question. Be more precise please. I don’t know. Bah. I’ve read this in too many self help books and dismissed it. Write the goal down? How does that help. Instead, just tell me WHY you are doing WHAT you are doing.

Is it the money? Is it the instagram likes? Is it to travel the world? Is it to own a business?

A lot of people will say no to the first two, and like yes to the last two. You know what? Don’t lie. If you are happy earning more money, then do it. No one is judging. If you want to do it for some fame, then do it. You actually need to be genuine to yourself. The Fake is the person I’ve seen the most of. The person who is legitimately lying to themselves and in the end lying to everyone else.

If you genuinely know what you want in life, forget what everyone else says about it. Legitimately give absolutely no crap about it. I have seen the man who pursued money and he was happy as fuck. He has heaps of expensive cars (Still growing). He has amazing houses (In more than five countries). Does he give to charity? No. Does he give a crap about the homeless person? Nope. Does he care about you and me? Nope.

In contrast I have met the man who just travels for photos. Yes, he doesn’t have a home. Yeah, he doesn’t have that much money. But I will swear he is just as happy as the guy before. He works as a waiter, travels to take photos and see crazy things. His instagram is filled with photos I will never see in real life because I don’t have the interest to. His stories are different. His stories are unique, and he loves what he does.

There are many stories like this. These are two people probably just fine with how things are, and if they walked past each other they would probably never know. But they at least have one thing in common — they know what they want to do.

It’s not easy finding the answer mind you. But you actually need to determine just that. What do you actually want.
